The Italian Style of Surgery
ANGIOLOGICA has been founded in 1988 from the initiative of Antonio Manca, a manager coming from Pharmaceutical Industry.
Today ANGIOLOGICA is a leader firm in the research and development of innovative technologies for the production of surgical prosthesis: for hernias, gynaecology, female incontinence, bariatric surgery and for every other need.
ANGIOLOGICA has built a new manufacturing plant and research laboratory with a class 10.000 clean room and a class 10 laminar flow cowl.
The former experience of ANGIOLOGICA on vascular grafts coating was initially developed with the use of bovine collagen; now the Company has studied alternative coatings (equine collagen and silicone + polyurethane).
The excellence weaving technique leads to an impressive production of polypropylene and polyester surgical meshes for hernia repair and other uses in surgery.
Research and Development
The Company is also active in the research and development of medical equipments and other specialized medical devices, as in the research about biomaterials and takes part in European projects (e.g. development of small calibre vascular grafts).
Market
The sales organization consists of exclusive distributors in the international markets and dealers and agents in Italy.
